Step 1: Intake

You can make an appointment by phone or through our website. Upon arrival at our center, you can drive all the way to the back to park. A spacious waiting stable for your horse is available in the building at the back right of the premises.

Fill out the treatment agreement

When you check in at reception with your horse’s passport, your details and those of your horse will be registered in our system. We ask you to complete and sign the treatment agreement in advance through our website. Our general terms and conditions can also be found there.

A comprehensive intake

A good start is half the battle. That is why at SMDC we always begin with a comprehensive intake. During this first step, we review your horse’s medical history and discuss your concerns and expectations. This may involve specific complaints, changes in performance, or subtle irregularities in movement patterns. Our specialists take the time to listen to your observations and experiences.

Collecting information

In addition, we gather all relevant information, such as previous diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and training schedules. To prepare for this consultation, you may send reports and imaging by email (please include your name, your horse’s name, and the scheduled appointment date). Based on all this information, we can carry out targeted examinations and determine the appropriate next steps.
